When taking a new class in University of Virginia, we would encounter new classmates and potentially get to know them. However, face blindness has been a hinderance from getting to know more people in class. Therefore, in this project, we are going to develop a system for students in UVA to identify classmates that they have met before. Particularly, we explored and experiment on several approaches to develop a face-recognition system, using dimensionality reduction, kernel SVM, deep neural network, and assisted with other machine learning techniques.
