Energy production is an expensive task - both for the company involved and the environment that it takes place in. With climate change becoming an increasingly global con- cern, any step to help combat it is seen as an important and meaningful one. Energy production in the state of Virginia for some providers largely relies on coal-burning plants, which are known to have negative effects on the environment. Using machine learning as a tool to tackle this problem can help reveal insights in customer demand over time than can help power plants create more efficient methods of production that can improve operational costs as well as reduce their footprint on the environment .
